Burial vs Cremation: A Jewish Perspective

Burial vs Cremation: A Jewish Perspective

A discussion of traditional versus current trends regarding burial is presented.

Mourning the loss of a Jewish family member includes a choice of burial methods as part of the ceremony.  Some choose to be cremated and others prefer traditional burial.

This video discusses the economic advantage of cremation as opposed to the environmentally positive aspects of burial. It also speaks to the traditional Biblical justification for burial as opposed to cultural trendy choices for cremation.

Both choices are presented as a kind and gentle examination of a difficult decision at a time of family loss and grief.
