Benji Lovitt Presents "Rosh Hashanah: Apples and What???"

Apples and honey are very traditional for the civil new year and perfect for fall weather as well. Some Jews believe the apples may have some healing properties in addition to the sweet taste, hopeful for a sweet year ahead. Round challah bread is also traditional at this time, as some Jews believe it is representative of the circle of life, the Crown of God, and/or the cyclical nature of time.

Rosh Hashanah Greeting

A typical Rosh Hashanah greeting is:

L’shanah tovah tikatev v’taihatem.

May you be inscribed and sealed for a good year.
