Everyday Life in the Ghettos

What was it like for the Jewish people who were forced into ghettos by the Nazis?

The Jewish people were herded together like cattle and forced into areas ill equipped to handle the large numbers of people required to live there.  The conditions were unimaginable and very soon disease and starvation were rampant.
