We're Still Standing

It is amazing how many attempts have been made to destroy the Jewish people, yet, literally, miraculously we are still standing intact both as a people group and as a faith community for millenniums.

There have been attempts at subjection, delegitimization, assimilation, forced conversions, replacement, slavery, banishment, dispersion, slaughter, and attempted genocide – yet we are still standing.

You would think that the haters would realize by now that God’s miraculous hand has been over us and not to mess with us anymore. But deluded by satanic lies they continue head strong to attack us to their own destruction.

Do they think they are stronger, more powerful, smarter than ancient Egyptians with all their resources and influence? More powerful than the Persians who ruled from India to Ethiopia after defeating the Babylonians, Lydians, and Egyptians? More powerful than the Greeks who defeated the vast empire of the Persians? More powerful than the Romans who ruled a large portion of the world for a very long period of time? More powerful than the Nazis who conquered most of Europe in a short time? All of them are gone, yet we’re still standing.

More recently the pogroms of Russia, the crusades of Catholicism, the replacement theology of mainstream Christianity, the intifadas of Islam, the assimilation of atheism have been and are all trying to bring us down – but we’re still standing.

It is no doubt that it is the grace of God which has kept us standing for so long, under such odds.

Since fighting us doesn’t get them anywhere but destruction, why not surrender to the Lord, and join us?

Thus the theme of this parody of a song written by Elton John and Bernie Taupin and sung by Elton John. The original was “I’m Still standing.” This song is “We’re Still Standing.”

Sing along and stand with us.

This video was written and produced by Keren Tarr and Jeff Zaremsky of Shalom Adventure. The singing was done by Keren Tarr.

Come for the adventure. You will stay for the shalom.
