Many people would like straight teeth, but not many people want to be seen wearing braces. An Israeli company developed an alternative to braces that would suit those who would like the benefits of braces without wearing them. With this option the only time one would have to wear them is at night. So if you are self-conscious these would probably be great.
It is also claimed that this system could be safer for the gums than the more traditional form of braces, so it could be helpful for far more than just vanity. Some people might struggle to clean their teeth thoroughly with traditional braces and this could be a solution to that problem. It is not a cheap option though. Like many cosmetic procedures you must be prepared to pay a pretty penny for it, as discussed in the video, but to some it may be worth it. The video also shows how it works in more detail and this invention makes me think of something else. In the Bible Yeshua preformed many miracles of healing and it didn’t always happen the same way.
“When he entered the house, the blind men came up, and Yeshua said to them, ‘Do you believe that I have the power to do this?’ They replied, ‘Yes, sir.’ Then he touched their eyes and said, ‘Let it happen to you according to your trust”; and their sight was restored.’” Matthew 9:28-30 In another case it is stated, “As Yeshua entered K’far-Nachum, a Roman army officer came up and pleaded for help. ‘Sir, my orderly is lying at home paralyzed and suffering terribly!” Yeshua said, ‘I will go and heal him.’ But the officer answered, ‘Sir, I am unfit to have you come into my home. Rather, if you will only give the command, my orderly will recover. For I too am a man under authority. I have soldiers under me, and I say to this one, “Go!” and he goes; to another, “Come!” and he comes; to my slave, “Do this!” and he does it.’ On hearing this Yeshua was amazed and said to the people following him, ‘Yes! I tell you, I have not found anyone in Isra’el with such trust!’” Matthew 8:5-10
Why did Yeshua merely speak the word in one example but used both words and touch in another? We may not know all the details of each and every case, but the text does suggest that God takes our faith into account in choosing how to work in our lives in a way that would best aid our spiritual growth. But perhaps one of the reasons the Bible gives us different examples of how Yeshua went about His work is to prevent us from judging others just because God didn’t work exactly the same in their lives as God does in ours. Just because someone experienced the intervention of God differently it doesn’t mean that God isn’t working on their healing. God’s path to restoration can look different in different people.
