Salt Content

The Dead Sea has a higher level of salt content than any other body of water, and because of the salinity, no plants or fish or animals can survive there. Tourists, however, enjoy the experience of floating in the salty waters.

Location

The Dead Sea is about 1400 feet below sea level. It is located between the Judean Hills in Israel and the Trans Jordanian Plateau in Jordan
